Tree Planting
Are you looking to reforest a plot of land, plant trees in your neighborhood, school, local park, or an abandoned lot? Our goal is to plant trees that will remain in the ground indefinitely. We work within your community to pull together a team of people from local schools, community groups, organizations, municipalities, and businesses to make your tree planting a success. By using local resources and community members, we make tree planting affordable. We can provide any number of the offerings before, during and after the planting. We will tailor our services to meet your needs. Contact Us today to see how we can help you make your tree planting a success!

Tree Giveaway
Held annually in North Carolina. By giving away tree seedlings, we make it easy for anyone to plant their own trees to help combat climate change.
We give out native North Carolina bare root tree seedlings. Along with the tree seedling you will get information about the tree, how to plant and care for it.

Environmental Education
We take a hands on approach to teaching and learning. Whenever possible we like to get students, children and adults, out in nature. We tailor our curriculum to meet your needs and interests.
Some of our hands-on activities include tree planting, tree seed gathering, acting out the life cycle of a tree. Click here to check out our online Nature-Connected Education Resources.

Arbor Day Festival
A TREE CAN. . .
Provide Oxygen. Capture Pollution. Create Beauty.
Discover diverse ways trees help each and everyone of us at our Arbor Day Festival. The festival will give people direct experience in understanding the benefits of trees and how to sustain our natural environment. A fun-filled festival with tree giveaways, crafts, tree trivia, live music, food trucks, tree care and rain barrel demonstrations and other fantastic creative expressions that support trees and the natural environment. Get the details on the festival here. This event is a call to celebrate trees and create a sense of community purpose toward the preservation and restoration of the natural environment.
Rain Barrel Workshops
A few times a year, in Raleigh, North Carolina, we hold rain barrel making workshops. Participants make and take to start their own water conservation program with a 55 gallon fully functional rain barrel with installation instructions and flexible downspout attachment. We supply the barrels, parts and all tools necessary to make the rain barrel.

Native Tree Seed Collection
A new program, we are excited to partner with Leaf & Limb on Project Pando, a volunteer-operated native tree farm. A major goal of Project Pando is to collect 100K native tree seeds this year. We Plant it Forward is recruiting volunteers to collect seeds for Project Pando to cultivate this spring. This is a great project for families with school aged children, budding environmentalists, environmental science class K-12, nature seekers and anyone who wants to work to preserve and restore our natural environment.
Click here to partner with us to collect native tree seeds in your community. We will give you instructions and guidance on how to collect and prepare tree seeds and where drop off locations are in the Raleigh/Durham area.
