Raleigh Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration

2024 Highlights

2,000 people came out to celebrate trees and the natural environment, taking home over 350 native tree seedlings!

Thank you to our 74 volunteers who made the festival possible.

Demonstrations

The festival was packed with meaningful moments and memorable experiences. From inspiring speakers and live demonstrations, to interactive walks and creative performances, each featured event brought the community together to celebrate trees and protect the natural environment.

Growing Native Plants from Seed

Walk with an Arborist

Folks had an opportunity to walk around Flower’s Field with an arborist and ask your questions about trees! Thank you Basil Camu, Fiona Matthews, and Hayden Gould of Leaf & Limb for sharing your knowledge!

Rain Barrel Demonstration

Charles McClay, from Wake County Lake Crabtree Park, demonstrated how to make a 55-gallon rain barrel to start your own water conservation program at home. Thank you, Charlie!
